Dotson Architects is a boutique architectural firm providing uniquely personal service from its principal, David Dotson, throughout the life of each project. David is the direct and sole point of contact with the firm's clients. He performs all of the design work, and directs our team of architects and engineers in the preparation of permit and construction documents for our projects.
David is a registered architect in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) which facilitates licensure throughout all fifty states. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), an affirmation of his advanced knowledge in green building, and he is a Chicago Registered Energy Professional, which enables him to certify energy compliance for both commercial and residential projects.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kent State University, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
